Jamaican Reggae Legend Burning Spear Meets with Malawi's President

Burning Spear, the renowned Jamaican reggae legend, met with President Chakwera at the State House in Lilongwe today. The musician's visit to Malawi began yesterday, and he's set to perform at Civo Stadium tomorrow night.


President Chakwera took to his official Facebook page to share photos of his meeting with Burning Spear, showcasing their cordial conversation. As a celebrated artist, Burning Spear is known for his iconic reggae hits like "Identity," "Marcus Garvey," and "Not Stupid," among others.

Burning Spear's highly anticipated performance will feature supporting acts by local reggae talents, including: Skeffa Chimoto, Sangie, Ma Blacks,Sean Morgan, Born Afrikan and Zembani Band.

This will be Burning Spear's first time performing in Malawi, as part of his "One People Africa Tour," which will also see him perform in Zambia, Zimbabwe, and South Africa. The event is organized by Born Afrikan Productions and Sound System Club in collaboration with Sound Addicts Live.
