The Malawi National Examinations Board (MANEB) has confirmed that all preparations are complete for the administration of the 2025 Junior Certificate of Education (JCE) examinations, which are scheduled to commence on Tuesday, June 3.
According to MANEB spokesperson Angella Kashitigu, the board is working closely with security agencies to ensure that all examination centers are well secured throughout the examination period.
“We are fully prepared for a smooth and secure administration of the exams. We are also working hand-in-hand with security personnel to safeguard all examination materials and centers,” said Kashitigu.
She also issued a strong reminder to candidates about the consequences of cheating, emphasizing that any form of examination malpractice is a serious offense and will not be tolerated.
“We urge all candidates to act with integrity. Cheating is a punishable offense, and we advise everyone to refrain from such practices,” she stressed.
Kashitigu further appealed to members of the public to play a watchdog role during the examination period.
“We are calling on the public to report any suspected cases of malpractice to the relevant authorities to help maintain the credibility and integrity of the exams,” she added.
The JCE examinations will run from June 3 to June 12, 2025.
