Mzuzu Welcomes New Creative Hub as Tonney Opens Videogencis Studio

After years of hard work and dedication, Tonney, a passionate director and multimedia professional, has realized his dream by launching Videogencis , a state-of-the-art studio in Mzuzu.


The studio which was opened on Monday, November 11, 2024, is set to transform the creative landscape of the city, providing a vibrant space for video and photo enthusiasts to bring to life their projects.


Tonney expressed his excitement about this new chapter, emphasizing his commitment to delivering high-quality multimedia services for artists, musicians, entrepreneurs, and anyone else with a vision.

“My target audience is anyone who values quality in video and photo services,” he said. “I want Videogencis  to be a platform where dreams and stories come alive through the lens.”

Videogencis offers a range of services, from photography and video production to editing, wedding coverage, and much more. However, the journey to opening the studio was not without challenges.

Tonney explained that securing funding, finding the perfect location, and assembling a skilled team were hurdles that required persistence. “This has been a challenging journey, but one I’d take again in a heartbeat,” he shared, “I want the youth to know that if you chase your passion with everything you have, no obstacle is too great to overcome.”

The studio’s launch has sparked excitement in the Mzuzu creative community. Warner Chandie, a local artist, believes that Videogencis will have a transformative impact. “This is not just exciting for me but for all creatives here,

This new space opens doors for growth, recognition, and financial support. Artists now have a professional setting to showcase their work and bring their visions to life,” Chandie commented.

He added that the studio would add a visual dimension to audio projects, allowing artists to share their stories in captivating, innovative ways.
