OLEKSANDR USYK DOMINATES TYSON FURY IN REMATCH

By Watson Mvula

Oleksandr Usyk successfully defended his unified heavyweight world titles against Tyson Fury, winning by a unanimous points decision in their highly anticipated rematch.
Usyk’s victory marked his second consecutive win over Fury, having previously defeated him by split decision in May. The Ukrainian’s superior ring generalship and high volume of punches ultimately proved too much for the British challenger.

Fury, 36, had moments of success in the early rounds, landing several eye-catching shots. However, Usyk’s cleaner work and relentless pressure earned him the nod from all three judges, who scored the fight 116-112 in his favor.

The win extends Usyk’s undefeated professional record to 23 victories, cementing his status as one of the greatest boxers of his generation. Fury, a two-time world champion, has now suffered two defeats in his career, both at the hands of Usyk.

Usyk’s next opponent is likely to be Daniel Dubois, who is seeking a rematch and has received a positive response from the Ukrainian champion.
