President Lazarus McCarthy Chakwera has appointed Dr. MacDonald Mafuta Mwale as the new Governor of the Reserve Bank of Malawi, effective immediately.
In addition to Dr. Mwale’s appointment, Mr. Kisu Simwaka has been appointed as the Deputy Governor. The President expressed gratitude to outgoing Governor, Dr. Wilson Banda, for his service.
The appointments are of immediate effect.
