Prophet Shepherd Bushiri has fired back at South African politician Dr. Mbuyiseni Ndlozi, following remarks made during a public lecture in Malawi questioning the prophet’s wealth.
Bushiri expressed shock and disappointment, accusing the Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) member of being jealous and harboring xenophobic tendencies.

“I was astonished to hear that Dr. Mbuyiseni Ndlozi attended a public lecture in Malawi and asked, ‘Why am I rich?’ Seriously, why? How did I even come into your public political lecture?” said Bushiri.

The remarks, whichh were reportedly made during Dr. Ndlozi’s engagement with local students and academics in malawi, did not sit well with Bushiri, who has long been a controversial figure in both Malawi and South Africa.

“You can’t bully me in South Africa and expect to do the same here at home. You can’t advise Malawians to ask me questions about my wealth; they’re not naïve,” Bushiri responded.

He went on to accuse Dr. Ndlozi of betraying his political ally, Julius Malema, leader of the EFF, by engaging in public attacks against a fellow African.

“Your actions amount to betrayal,” Bushiri added, urging the South African politician to focus on politics instead of dragging his name into public debates.

Bushiri continued to defend that his efforts were to empower others economically.

“This past year alone, I created over 5,000 jobs at my farms and the Goshen City project,” he stated, referencing to his multi-sector development project in Mangochi.
